FALLACIES

MIND PROJECTION fallacy - a logical fallacy that occurs when someone thinks that the way they see the world reflects the way the world really is, going as far as assuming the real existence of imagined objects. Children commit the MIND PROJECTION fallacy a lot. If you introduce a puppy to a classroom, put it behind door number 1, take June (one of the classmates) away, swap the location of the puppy, and put it behind door number 2 and then ask the other children that are still in the room "Where do you think June will look for the puppy?”, the very young children tend to say: “Door number 2.” Only older children realize June would look behind door number 1 because she doesn't know otherwise.

MEMORY BIASES

ROSY RETROSPECTION: the remembering of the past as having been better than it really was. Every day I struggle with a battle to go and get messed up. Many times I find myself manipulating myself to go back to my old ways. To sit and ponder "Come on, Melly, no one will know you know you want it."  How could I be so stupid to have such thoughts? The constant battle to go and get messed up sometimes leads me actually calling but not going through with the act. To see myself talk myself into and out of this horrible act makes me crazy.

DEVELOPMENT: Nature versus Nurture

Christa Pike born March 10, 1976 became the youngest woman to be sentenced to death in the United States. She committed torture and murder at the age of 18.

She lived a troubled life growing up. She allegedly endured sexual abuse and was doing drugs with her mother before she had even hit her teen years. She had behavior issues including bipolar and dropped out of high school.

Her mother placed blame on herself at Christa's trial stating she was horrible mother to her kids.

Christa was not nurtured in a way a child should have been. Her mother being a friend and then leaving Christa. Probably had a server impact on to see what was right and wrong and how to deal with emotions. Her mother abandoning her as a kid could have led to the feeling of insecurity and leading to feeling the need to feel the need to keep all possessions even people as hers and hers only.

Some psychiatrists agree that maternal abandonment leaves the children to deal with significant emotional, mental and psychological aftereffects.

The threat and of losing someone you love to another. Could lead you to snap and do what you deem necessary to keep that person. Even leading you to murder another human.

Manipulation was a key factor in getting her boyfriend and friend to lure this girl in the woods and kill her.

However, Christa smashed the girl’s brain in taking a piece of her skull as a prized piece. That she would later show off to people around job corp.

Two other people helped with the murder of Colleen. Tadaryl Shipp, Pikes boyfriend and there friend Shadolla Peterson.

On January 12, 1995, Pike, Shipp, Peterson, and Slemmer signed out of the dorm and proceeded to the woods.

Colleen Slemmer was told they wanted to make peace by offering her weed. After arriving Colleeen Slemmer was attacked by Crista and her Tadaryl.

Later in a court testimony, for the next 30 minutes she was taunted, beaten, and slashed, and a pentagram was carved in her chest.

Christa jealousy of this other girl thinking that she was going to steal her boyfriend Tadaral.

After the killing Christa showed no remorse and bragged.

On March 22, 1996 after only a few hours of deliberation, Pike was found guilty on both counts. On March 30, 1996, Pike was sentenced to death by electrocution for the murder charge and 25 years in prison for the conspiracy charge.

Not all children become killers. So why do some children become killers? And some do not. This will be a heated discussion and require extensive research for years to come.

 CONSCIOUSNESS: Dream Analysis
Part 1
I had this dream when I was 19 so real that I still remember it down to the small details. I've always been interested in dreams. I usually look up my dreams if something really sticks out. Then I look for it in my life. Dreams about teeth freak me out because of the meaning behind it. The other day I was begging my mom to stop smoking. Woke up called her and before I could tell her my dream she told me that she was had Emphysema and my jaw dropped and told my mom my dream.
Manifest Content: I was running through a maze in a field and the maze went into a building. The building was brick and was crumbling. Running with all the power I had in my legs I couldn't make my way out. I would turn corners and come back to the same place I was just in. I saw broken glass windows on all the floors. My eyes were always focused on the broken glass windows. I could hear them getting smashed and then I would run to them to see them broken with glass pieces on the brick floors.
Latent content: I think about this dream a lot. The broken glass always sticks with me.
What it means it that I needed to grow and move on and become an adult. I felt trapped and under my parents rules. Which I did move out the following week after seeing an old friend from school and moving in with her.
According to some dream interpretations:
"To see broken glass in your dream signifies disappointments and negative changes in your life. Alternatively, it could be symbolic of an aspect of your life that is in pieces. A relationship or situation has come to an abrupt and untimely end. If you are walking on broken glass, then it suggests that you will be experiencing some heartache or pain. You are unsure with how to proceed with your life. Dreaming of glass suddenly shattering symbolizes a major breakthrough in some area of your life. You have overcome some obstacle."
PART 2
I agree with psychologists that dreams can and do come true. That your dreams can tell you and warn you of things to come. I believe my dreams mean something and they are not just for entertainment as I sleep. Sometimes I wonder if I could manipulate my dreams to make my wildest dreams come true.

Perception: the process by which individuals organize and interpret
their sensory impressions in order to give meaning to their environment.

Part 1

How I - my brain - process what I see, smell, hear, taste and touch is completely different than others.

My emotions - I feel - take over mE when I perceive something I see; something that doesn’t sit well with me.

Like when I am driving in the car with my dude and someone cuts him off.

We both saw the jerk speed up and cut us off, but why does my dude see it different than me?

I see it as a jerk move and something is wrong with that driver.

Yet my dude sees it as just another driver and oh well.

Is it because I am not the one driving? Is it because I do not know how to drive so it makes my perception of drivers void?

So is perception also agreeing to disagree?

Part 2

When I was younger I use to think that letting people treat me any way was ok.

That what I felt didn’t matter because I didn’t see what my worth was.

I let people use me and abuse me in many ways.

Now that I am in a healthy relationship I see that when I was young I was not that bright.

Why did it take me so long to see my worth?

What changed and made me wake up?

One day I woke up you could say and realized that “Wait, screw that I am freaking awesome and I deserve the world!"

It is crazy how time can make you grow literally.

Free will vs. Determinism

I gave up my daughter for adoption when I was 22. No one forced me to go with this decision. I went through the process on my own free will which was the hardest decision of my life. I wanted her to have a better life and at that time in my life I would not have being able to provide her with even the basic needs. I called an agency and moved to San Antonio. I was embarrassed and ashamed. However, it was my decision to give her the best life possible.

In order to see my daughter grow up, I moved to New York with nothing but a suitcase of clothes and a place to stay with a guy I met online. I was determined to get a job and contact the family to tell them I moved to New York. Kayla’s family was ecstatic when I told them I moved to New York. I am determined to finish school and show her that I didn’t give her up because I didn’t love her but to better her life.

The Law of Attraction is a manifestation of the creative power of the Universe. What do we mean by positive vibes? What do we mean by negative energy? What is considered to be the best of you?
